My Website-www.janstoddardart.com

I have been working on getting my website going for a long time, and it finally happened-thanks to my niece and nephew-Hannah and James. It's exciting cause now you can buy straight from my website instead of from a gallery, which makes it so I can sell them for less. I know that original artwork can be expensive, so I have prints of my artwork available as well for a reasonable price.

For Sell on Etsy

My still life paintings are now for sell on Etsy. I am starting out with a pretty low price for original oils, but I just really want to start selling my work. Check it out!

BFA Senior Project

I have a strong passion for all the arts; performing and visual. I especially love to dance and to paint. I wanted to show through the medium of oil paint the beauty, motion, and expression of dancing, and that each dance genre evokes a different emotion. Thus as I approached each painting I had a different intent for each piece. I had this in mind as I chose the colors costumes, composition, shapes, and position. My hope through this presentation is to convey the arts in an uplifting and inspiring way.

Sculpture-Martha

I did this sculpture to represent Martha Graham one of the pioneers of modern dance. If you are familiar with Martha's choreography-this pose is one of her famous moves.

Life Painting

For life painting we painted models from life. We did a head study every class. These are just a few of my favorites from that class.

Parson's head drawing class

These drawings are from Brother Parson's head drawing class. We experimented with varying styles including: line only, white and black charcoal on canvas, shadow only, and light only.
